  1. Shutdown FX is a software package to add a little fun to your Macintosh.  On restart and/or shutdown, it will fade the screen to black with one of over 50 graphic effects.

This is the control application for the package, with which you can sample any of the graphic effects and decide which ones you want Shutdown FX to choose from at shutdown.  The other half of the package is a system extension (or a startup application for system 7 users) which will install Shutdown FX automatically whenever you start up your Macintosh.
